Got to the beach at 4pm to find Rob sat in his car and Steve out maxed out on his 4.2m. Decided to go with the 4.5 rather than the 3.4m and just hang on. Launched Rob's peel for him so that he could have a go at kitesurfing with his home-made board and then got out on the water myself.

Perfect blasting conditions in amongst the shorebreak. We didn't bother venturing out into the big stuff, but just blasted up and down parallel to the shore. Some nice big jumps, some good backside wave-riding on the mush and loads of fun. Well powered up the whoel time with the 4.5m rigged as flat as I could get it. some of the gusts were mad, with the sea turning white with spray. Good stuff.
